Characters and Who Is Who
The named cast of Harvest Moon: Echoes of Teradea: the Harvest Goddess, Doc Jr., Lupo, the Spirit Guardians Merus, Gorgan and Nera, and the villagers.
Returning faces include Doc Jr., who keeps your animals and crops running while you travel, and Elena, who helps with treasure hunting, alongside the Harvest Goddess and the Spirit Guardians Merus, Gorgan and Nera.
Teradea's cast is spread across four villages, and the game expects you to meet most of them by helping them rather than by seeking them out. Below is who is who, what they want, and where you run into them. The ten marriage candidates get their own page — this one covers everyone else.

The figures that carry the story
The Harvest Goddess is the guide figure for the whole game. The mist, the disasters and the failing land all sit inside her remit, and restoring her power is what unlocks the fast-travel and map systems.
The Tiny Harvest Goddess is a separate presence. Statues of her are hidden all over Teradea, each running a short challenge or puzzle. Finish one and you free a Power Wisp, and Natsume's launch trailer calls out "tiny Harvest Goddess rewards that boost skills, stamina, and more".
Doc Jr. returns from earlier Harvest Moon games. This time his inventions are what keep your animals and crops running while you are away from the farm for days at a time.
Lupo, the baby wolf, is the Bloomfield Guardian — and the mascot of the physical pre-order plush. Wolves are the first threat the story introduces, and Lupo is the friendly end of that thread.

The Spirit Guardians
Harvest Moon: Echoes of Teradea builds its late-story stakes around Guardian Spirits, powerful beings you befriend while working to revive the land. Three are named so far:
| Guardian | First shown |
|---|---|
| Merus | Launch trailer, first look |
| Gorgan | Launch trailer, first look |
| Nera | Launch trailer, first look |
Their individual powers have not been laid out. What is clear from the story structure is that they are tied to the disasters hitting each village — the storms at Tidewind, the earthquakes under Quarrytop — rather than being optional collectibles.
There is also a large guardian wolf said to rule the wolves that appear around Bloomfield at night, mentioned in the game's own announcement material. Taming the wolves is where the story starts.
Villagers worth knowing
- Elena, an archaeologist in Maplehill. A villager will point you at her the first time you head into town: she is the one with "wild tales", and she helps with treasure hunting.
- William, an older villager in Bloomfield, who remembers the hill when cherry blossom covered it and there were no wolves at all. He is your clearest window into what the mist changed.
- Bryce appears in Maplehill and in the game's own dialogue in the winter village — one of the town's well-dressed young men.
- Shirley, a Maplehill local with a punk look, part of the town's music scene. She is on the receiving end of at least one shop-keeping scolding in the trailer.
Reading the cast by village
| Village | Who you meet | Their problem |
|---|---|---|
| Bloomfield | The Harvest Goddess, William, Lupo, wolf-adjacent characters | Wolves at night; the mist's origin point |
| Tidewind | Sailors, fishers, boat families | Recurring storms; a shipwreck that never came home |
| Quarrytop | Miners, the mine union, an older adventurer | Earthquakes under the main mine |
| Maplehill | Musicians, artists, an archaeologist, wealthy families | A cultural centre losing its community |
Who you should talk to first
- Anyone with a request marker. Helping villagers is how you earn Happilia, and Happilia is how the land revives.
- Doc Jr., early, so your farm survives your travelling.
- Elena, once you start chasing treasure and nautical charts.
- The statue chain. It is not a person, but it is the fastest route to real skills.
The ten candidates you can actually marry are laid out village by village on the romance page, the towns themselves are described on the four villages, and the systems the Goddess and the statues are tied to are on power statues and Happilia.
