Power Statues, Wisps and Stamina
Power Statues in Harvest Moon: Echoes of Teradea: the challenge types, power wisps and power nuts, skill upgrades at the Forest Goddess Statue.
Power Statues are scattered across Teradea and each one runs a short challenge or puzzle. Freeing the dormant Power Wisps rewards Power Wisp Fruits, which you trade at the Forest Goddess Statue for stamina and abilities - and three power nuts buy a skill upgrade.
Power Statues are the game's upgrade engine. They are scattered across Teradea, most of them are easy to miss, and the rewards they hand out are what turn a stamina-limited farmer into someone who can cross the continent in a day.

The chain, end to end
- Find a glowing Power Statue hidden somewhere in the world.
- Complete its challenge — a short puzzle or obstacle sequence.
- Free the dormant Power Wisps locked inside.
- Collect Power Wisp Fruits as your reward.
- Trade the fruits at the Forest Goddess Statue for stamina increases and useful abilities.
Natsume also names a second currency in the same chain: power nuts. Three power nuts can be exchanged for a skill upgrade. So the statue system feeds both a slow-burn stamina track and a discrete skill track.
Types of statue
Statues look similar and behave differently, which is why the first encounter with one is usually confusing.
| Type | Behaviour |
|---|---|
| Map and travel statues | Reveal map sections and register a fast-travel point you can warp to |
| Instant reward statues | Give a power nut the moment you touch them |
| Photo statues | Set a mini-quest to photograph a specific subject; the right subject carries a special symbol |
| Shy statues | Flee if you approach at speed, and you have to return the next day |
The map-and-travel statues are the ones that change how the game feels. They come online after the first storyline beat, once the Harvest Goddess has some power back, and from then on you can teleport between any statue you have tagged.
Creep up to everything
Because you cannot tell a shy statue from a normal one until it reacts, the reliable habit is to approach every statue slowly. There is no penalty for walking up at a crawl, and spooking a shy one costs you a full in-game day.
Photo statues
The photo variant is worth calling out because it uses the camera rather than your hands. You are asked to take a picture of something, and the correct target is marked with a special symbol. Line it up, shoot, and the reward is yours.
Related: the campsite menu includes Activate Photo Mode, so the camera is available on the pad at any camp — useful if you want to shoot the objective on your own schedule rather than only when standing in front of a statue.
Stamina, and why this matters so much
Running drains stamina in this game. That is a deliberate return to an older Harvest Moon pattern, and it makes the statue rewards unusually valuable:
- Power Wisp Fruits buy stamina increases, which directly extend how much you can do before your day ends.
- Skill upgrades bought with power nuts include, eventually, a skill that lets you run without spending stamina at all. That single unlock removes the constraint that shapes the whole early game.
- Companion animals can also help — a cat fed its favourite food grants extra stamina on top of its status buffs.
Between a tamed mount, the run-without-stamina skill and a cat in your bag, the stamina problem that dominates your first week stops being a problem entirely.
How to work the statue chain efficiently
- Tag every statue you pass, even the ones you cannot solve yet. Map reveal and travel points are worth having on their own.
- Do the easy ones first. Instant-reward statues cost nothing and pay immediately.
- Keep a photo mode habit. If you spot a marked subject away from a statue, you can shoot it from a camp later.
- Do not skip a statue because the puzzle looks annoying. Puzzle statues are where the wisp fruits come from, and fruits convert straight into stamina.
- Check your counts. Three power nuts becomes a skill upgrade, so it is worth tracking when you are one short.
Where the statues are, and how the map records the ones you have found, is covered on map and exploration. The systems the Harvest Goddess's power feeds into are on Happilia, and the buffs that stack with statue upgrades are on animal companions.
